Thanks to our sponsors, families received grain in time to celebrate Easter on May 5th. As food prices have increased 1500% in the last few months, this was lifesaving for many. They also recently received soap, hair oil, hygiene products, and school supplies. Another 55 students were able to go on a field trip.
During home visits, the team checked on each family’s needs, provided extra food or a cooked meal for sick individuals, offered hygiene and home management advice, took kids to the hospital or visited them, and encouraged, counseled, and prayed with families. Several families shared about improved relationships after following advice from previous visits and showed cleaner homes. Our health officer also taught families how to recognize, prevent, and treat rhinoviruses, covid, influenza, HIV/AIDS, tuberculosis, and typhoid.
