My name is Yordanos and I am graduating from the sponsorship program in December. I am so grateful for my experiences in it!
When I was little, Ababa (my grandfather) and I went to register for the sponsorship program, but there were no more spots left. Ababa kept asking the social worker to register me. Finally, they did.
I was happy during all the time that I spent at the program.I never missed Sunday school, distributions, or trips. I was never late. I always came earlier than told. I visited the office frequently. When I lived closer, I was there all the time. I became close with Rich (Rahel), Geni (Genet), and Helu (Helen). They are loving and always happy. And their face is always bright which draws you closer to them. I was always able to talk freely with them. I know I will stay in touch.

I grew up well because everything was provided for me like shoes, clothes, swimsuits, school supplies, teff (grain), flour, oil, soap, hair oil, and medical support. My mom was very poor when she started the program, but she grew her business by taking out loans from her self-help group. She sells traditional mats for coffee ceremonies and traditional clothes. She also grew spiritually by sharing and praying with others in her group.

Another important part of the program is teaching the Bible. I am happy to see people of all religions sitting and listening to the Bible together. A seed sown today will bear fruit tomorrow. You are sowing good seeds.
This year, I started working as an apprentice for my brothers in fashion design and selling traditional clothes. I also received my diploma in Hotel Management. I plan to work in both fashion design and hotel management. I hope to get married someday to have my own family.
Praise God for everything that happened during sponsorship. The love I have for this project won’t be easily erased. In the future, I hope to volunteer with the project.
My dear sponsors, thank you for the unwavering, continuous, and kind support!
