Miheretab is 6 years old and lives with his mother and older brother. He enjoys playing tag, and his favorite color is orange. In the future he would like to be a doctor and to help people in need.
Miheretab’s parents are separated, and his mother used to have a job sewing clothes. Because of health problems, she wasn’t able to continue working, so Miheretab’s older brother dropped out of school to work and support the family. Still, it is difficult for them to afford food.
The Child Sponsorship Program will help Miheretab and his family by providing food, clothing, hygiene products, medical assistance, home visits, and more. Miheretab’s mother will also join a self-help group where she will receive support and training to help the family become financially stable.
