Sentayehu is 8 years old and lives with his mother. He enjoys playing football, and his favorite color is yellow.
After his father passed away, Sentayehu and his mother moved to Addis Ababa. Although Sentayehu’s mother earns an income from working as a janitor and selling maize on the street, she struggles to afford rent and food.
The Child Sponsorship Program will help Sentayehu and his mother by providing food, clothes, and hygiene products, making home visits, and more. Sentayehu’s mother will also join a self-help group where she will receive support and training to help the family become financially stable.
