Kalkidan is 5 years old and lives with her father and mother. She enjoys playing on the slide, and her favorite color is pink.
Kalkidan’s father works as a daily laborer, but the income he earns is not enough to afford the family’s needs. The Child Sponsorship Program will support this family in many ways, such as providing food and clothing making home visits, and welcoming Kalkidan’s parents into a self-help group. In the self-help group, Kalkidan’s parents will receive training in different life skills, such as finance and business, that could help the family become financially stable.
