Biruk is 6 years old and lives with his parents and younger brother. He enjoys playing soccer, and his favorite color is red.
Biruk’s father works as a daily laborer, and his mother stays home to take care of the children. There are some days Biruk’s father isn’t able to find work, and he isn’t able to earn enough income to support the family.
The Child Sponsorship Program will help this family by providing food, clothing, school fees, medical assistance when needed, home visits, and more. Biruk’s parents will also join a self-help group where they will receive encouragement, community, and different kinds of training.
